awarded to Royal Navy Naval Air Squadrons for actions and campaigns
during the Second World War, perhaps the most renown being for the
Taranto strike, the Norwegian campaigns of 1940 and against the Tirpitz,
the Battle of the Atlantic and the sinking of the Bismarck, and the
operations against the Japanese most notably at Palembang, Okinawa and
Tokyo. |
